More Participants needed for Hashimoto.voice study

The Hashimoto.voice study have had some participants come forward but they need more so I'm repeating my post in case new members haven't seen it. If you are interested in taking part (and receiving €15 or donating the €15 to Thyroid UK) this is all you need to do:

1. Record the following text onto your mobile phone or on online-voice-recorder.com/

Who’s more important?

A very long time ago, all the parts of the body decided to get together and have a little meeting. They wanted to decide once and for all, which body part was more important.

The eyes were the first to speak. They said, “We see everything. We know what’s coming. Without us, you’d be wandering through life without seeing the beauty all around.

The ears jumped in and said, “That’s crazy, we’re so much more important than you. Without us, you’d never be able to hear music or the sound of a baby crying.

Then the mouth started to speak, and it said, “You’re both wrong. Everything comes through my door. Without me, you’d never be able to eat or drink.

The nose was quiet up to this point, listening to what the other body parts had to say. Finally it jumped in and said, “ Have you ever smelled a rose in full bloom? Or the incredible scent of freshly baked cookies? Clearly, I’m way more important than all of you.

The body parts went on and on like this all day and night until they were absolutely exhausted and had nothing left to say.

Then finally they heard a voice that was both soft like a whisper, and loud like thunder. It was the heart speaking. It said, “My dear brothers and sisters, we are all family, all equal, all important.

The body parts knew that the heart was telling the truth, they were filled with joy and peace, and they never argued again.

2. Save the file on your mobile or PC

4. Send an email to [e-mail]

5. Include in the email which group you belong to:

a) Diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroiditis

b) Suffering from non-specific complaints and/or subclinical hypothyroidism,

subclinical Hashimoto thyroiditis

c) Healthy with no thyroid and autoimmune condition

5. Attach the audio file and click send

Don't forget that once you send the audio recording you will receive €15. To receive this into your bank account, you will need to provide your bank details. Alternatively, you can inform them that you would like to donate it to Thyroid UK (which will be most gratefully received).

But can you be clearer about what one has to do. I got the ’send an email’ but what what with please.

I joined the previous study but did not participate because the instructions were too complicated and there was insufficient help or support.

Something to feedback to the good people managing this trial or study.

Hi Adam10, Hashimoto.voice were concerned that it wasn't clear so we changed the instructions but perhaps I need to be clearer so sorry about that.

If you click on the link online-voice-recorder.com/ you can record the text. Then click "save" and on a PC it will download to your computer. Save it where it's easy to find. On my computer there is a down arrow that says find the folder it's in and I usually find it and move it somewhere else. I'm not sure how it works on a phone or a Mac.

Once it is downloaded, open your emails and start one to [e-mail] You then need to attach the recording from wherever you have saved it and copy and paste or type whichever group you consider yourself to be in (a, b or c):

a) Diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroiditis

b) Suffering from non-specific complaints and/or subclinical hypothyroidism,

subclinical Hashimoto thyroiditis

c) Healthy with no thyroid and autoimmune condition

Then send the email.
