Are you sure

looks like these might contain personable Identifiable information,

either an email address or a phone number. We encourage you to never reveal your identity----------

I must be thick, because I'm non-plussed.

It's just a reminder to make sure members don't post any personal details, identity theft is rife on the internet so HealthUnlocked are doing what they can to keep us safe.

Thank you very much. I do not included personal details, just links.

The wording makes one apprehensive.

As there are so many forums on HU it may be that some people on other forums have printed sensitive info i.e. phone numbers etc. without realising these should be private.

You'd have no idea who would phone/contact you and then may offer some type of medications etc.

Thank you very much. Maybe HU could word the warning differently.

What's wrong with the wording? It's just a general reminder to be careful not to give out personal information. Making a post just triggers an automated response, it's not targetted at anything specific contained in a post so it includes posts that don't contain personal information as well as those that do.

There are many posts where a member has included a photo of test results which include name and date of birth - a gift to anyone who knows how to use this information fraudulently. As an Admin I frequently remove the pictures and ask the member to repost without their personal information showing to protect their identity.

Thank you.
