I had my Thyroid removed Sept 2018, I am taking 150mg Levothyroxine. I am having palpitation when I walk up my stairs or get up from a sitting position. Sometimes I feel very dizzy as If I am going to pass out. I am also sweating a lot. Does anyone get these symptoms?

Hi. It sounds like over medication? Did you raise slowly or were you put on 150mcg immediately? I was slightly over medicated on 100mcg of levothyroxine so then took 100mcg 5 days a week and 75mcg 2 days a week which was perfect.

What were your latest blood test results? If you post them along with lab ranges it will help to work out what might be happening. Your symptoms could be down to a range of things. Have you seen the doctor yet?

Bloods should be retested after 6-8 weeks on constant dose

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, FT3 and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

All thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Do not take Levothyroxine dose in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take immediately after blood draw. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Do you have any blood test results to add?

Do you have your recent FT3 FT4 TSH lab values ? Nutrients are very vital as well . If your ferritin is low it would be important to supplement with some iron . Vitamin "D" /K2 , B-12/folate B-Complex , Magnesium , Vitamin "C" and Celtic Sea Salt for electrolytes and adrenal support . What some find helpful too is to split the T4 . It sounds strange but the ones that do it find it very helpful .

It sounds as though your are taking too much Levo have you any blood test results yet.

Your body has to get used to not have a thyroid which is hard it may take time to adjust.
