I have a substernal goitre and have been referred to 2 different consultants. One is a general surgeon the other is endocrinology surgeon I’m just confused as to shush surgeon would operate?

I also had a substernal thyroid removed in 2015. It's sometimes a more difficult operation and requires an experienced thyroid surgeon. It's worth checking up on the surgeon to make sure that he/she does lots of actual TT surgery's every month, Make sure that you find out who is going to operate on you it's so very important.
