Hi all. My GP recently tested for coeliac. I've tried researching my blood result in order to understand it for myself but I have to admit defeat! I'm in the UK and my result is:-
tTG IgA Antibody (serum) <0.5 (a) kU/L (0 - 14.9)
Does this mean that I don't have Coeliac disease? Although I don't understand what I'm talking about could I be IgA deficient? Does IgA deficiency mean a total lack of IgA or can a very low result also indicate deficiency? I'd really appreciate any advice or comments please!

LOL, I see what you mean! Like you, I went to try to find the answer on the Web and it took a while...
But I think - stress, think! - it means it’s negative for Coeliac Disease. Not that that means you definitely aren’t gluten intolerant, because you could have non coeliac gluten sensitivity. It’s a minefield.
Thanks for your post. I really want to try GF but have to wait as I am still having tests for coeliac. If all coeliac results are negative that's my next move as well as introducing supplements one at a time.
