HI , I have an overactive thyroid, and take Carbinmazola 7.5mgs a day. I had to cut 1 in half every day , no problem. But now I have very small pink tablets in a bottle 5mgs when the others were in packs, and they are very difficult to cut in half. Has anyone else had their Carbinmazola change colour and size?

I was given those small pink tablets last month, but I can still cut them in half with a pill-cutter.
Mine were changed but I went back and insisted on the old ones cos they were flat and could be cut more accurately. There was a bit of back n forth but I got my old ones in d end
Yes cathealth, I had the same problem with my SINEMET tablets . When I asked chemist why, was told that as manufactured abroad they were cheaper, but definitely they did not have same effect. That is what worries me that these pink ones would not suit me. I have been on Carbimazole now since 2010 and have had no problems.
My pink carbimazole tablet is cut accurately and easily with a cheap pill cutter I bought from the local chemist shop. Perhaps you could buy one and give it a try. Good luck.
If you're really ending up with crumbs, you could try suggesting you split the dose 10mg one day and 5mg the next. But it is worth trying a pill cutter, your pharmacy should have them, but if not, I'm sure you could get one on Amazon.
