TSH testing is inadequate, you need FT4 and FT3 testing to know if you are optimally medicated. T4 and T3 are the thyroid hormones, and you need to know where these are to know if your dose of Levo is enough.
If you can't get these tested with your GP then you can do what hundreds of us members here do and that is private testing.
It's also worth testing vitamins and minerals as these need to be optimal for thyroid hormone to work properly - Vit D, B12, Folate, Ferritin.
You can get a full thyroid panel and all those vitamin/mineral tests with
Medichecks - Thyroid Check Plus UltraVit medichecks.com/thyroid-func...
or
Blue Horizon - Thyroid Check Plus Eleven bluehorizonmedicals.co.uk/t...
Post any results when you get them, please include the reference ranges as they are needed to interpret the tests as ranges vary from lab to lab. Members will then comment.
