Interesting, thanks :)

Wouldn’t the improvements also be down to Vitamin C improving absorption of dietary iron? Which in turn improves conversion of T4 to T3, I believe. I might have missed it, but the authors didn’t seem to make that connection...

That’s very interesting. I have Graves and was told by my pharmacist to take a large dose of vitamin C along with my carbimazole when I started taking it and I did that for the three months I was on carb alone then continued when I started on levo as part of my block and replace. Unfortunately I was in such a daze in those early stages that I didn’t think to ask him why and he has moved on now.

I was already taking high dose slow release vitamin C as it was mentioned on an after care leaflet I got from my dentist after I had a tooth removed. That was to aid healing and I’d say it worked. I have since met several people who have been advised by various doctors to take high strength vitamin C to aid healing after a variety of procedures.

I started taking Vitamin C last August 2017 everyday. I read about it on this site I have also raised my Vitamin D levels.

For the past sixty years I have suffered from chronic sinus problems and have had two major operations.

Since taking these two the sinus problems have completely gone the only trouble is I don't know if it's the C or D which has gotten rid of it? Interesting though.
