Burning feet syndrome is a Hypo symptom. I get it when my dose of thyroid meds isn't optimal. I think it might also be something to do with low B12. Burning feet and legs can be caused by nerve damage - neuropathy.
This was the first symptom I had of small fibre neuropathy - which later spread everywhere as part of Sjögren’s (not hypo as mine is well controlled and not B12).
The most common cause is Diabetes, then chemo, drugs and alcoholism, then conditions such as Sjögren’s and Lupus and Pernicious Anaemia. About 50% are idiopathic (cause unknown)
Sometimes Raynaud’s and Erythromelalgia can cause burning feet but you would usually get colour changes too.
Absolutely yes, I had it after my thyroidectomy for years until I started to take more interest in my so called “perfect” blood tests and then found a way of taking T3 with my Levo. It is rare now but sometimes if I am very tired after a long, busy day, I will still get it. I suggest you check out your most recent thyroid blood test and post the results here for comments.

I always respond with this link:

It does help to identify the range of possibilities.
Yes! It's horrible. I get it in my feet and hands...often at night. I put it down to some kind of nerve damage from Sjorgrens/sle/hashis...although had a nerve fibre test done which was ok. I suspect the nerve test doesn't check the small fibres. Do they get. Dry painful too?
Last sentence should read "do they get very painful too?"
