Day after RAI

So I had my little radioactive pill yesterday morning. Loved the solid lead gift wrapping! It was a low dose so I've avoided a hospital stay. Cooped up in the bedroom, all restrictions applied, and dying for a hug from my confused ten year old. Was very excited to have a Geiger counter waved at me, being a bit of a sci fi nerd. I'm being checked out again on Monday, then seeing the onc a day or so after. They've been brilliant throughout, explaining almost everything, but I left having forgotten to ask how long I need to remain on the low iodine diet. I'm obsessing about things I haven't eaten for years but now cannot, like seaweed, and goats cheese! I've been eating well, but my god could I kill something horrible and processed! Anyone got a heads up on when I can start on the cheese?

As far as I remember its when the radiation has done its thing... So when the restrictions are lifted. I remember that feeling. I just wanted a fried egg sandwich!! X
