Hello There, started SR T3 and been experiencing shortness of breath and coughing. I am also on Synthroid 25mcg.

You may not get much response to this. Slow release T3 is not something we have in the UK. Hopefully one of our overseas members will come along with some information.

Have you checked the Patient Information Leaflet to see if these side effects are listed? Or discussed it with your doctor?

Others here might not be able to suggest much without test results and ranges for thyroid and vitamin levels etc so worth getting a copy of these and posting them with a bit more background too

Go to the date December 17, 1997 on the following to read the response. Dr L was an expert on the use of T3. Unfortunatley for us he died through an acciddent.
