Increased to 100mcg Levo. Still don't feel any different.

Hello

I've increased my dose. From 75, first to 87mcg for a week and now up to the full 100mcg for the past 4 days. In the past I've experienced immediate problems with increasing the dose, jittery etc. But this time nothing (which is good). But I don't feel any improvement either.

My legs are my worst symptom. They ache when I stand and feel weak. I used to sit on the floor all the time, now I can't get back up easily. I also have a lot of fluid retention and what I think is called mucin under my skin. Water, water everywhere. Could be menopause as well though. I've just changed my HRT.

Do I just need to give it more time to feel any improvements?

All the other things I need to have right are right apart from working on ferritin.

It takes 6 weeks for the full effects of a dose increase, so it's too early at the moment to be feeling much improvement. Plus ferritin needs to be 70 for thyroid hormone to work properly and proper conversion of T4 to T3.

Thanks. I was just hoping to feel a bit more energy in my legs by now. Worryingly my GP looks bemused by everything I say to her so I've been relying on my private hormone doctor (who I see for HRT) to prescribe etc. But I saw her this week and she said that I'd probably need another increase in 6 weeks time, but that would probably be the last. What! She's already constantly pointing out that my FT3 and FT4 are good. But both are just under half way in the range so I'm not planning on stopping. I foresee a struggle ahead.
