Are you diagnosed with a thyroid problem, been on any medication, if so how long for both?

B12 - too low. An extract from the book, "Could it be B12?" by Sally M. Pacholok:

"We believe that the 'normal' serum B12 threshold needs to be raised from 200 pg/ml to at least 450 pg/ml because deficiencies begin to appear in the cerebrospinal fluid below 550".

"For brain and nervous system health and prevention of disease in older adults, serum B12 levels should be maintained near or above 1000 pg/ml."

Check for signs of B12 deficiency here and see your doctor for further testing for B12 deficiency/Pernicious anaemia if you have any of the signs

b12deficiency.info/signs-an...

Folate - below range. Folate and B12 work together. You need treating for your folate deficiency, but not before further testing of B12 has been carried out and either B12 injections or supplementation started.

Ferritin - below range

Serum iron - below range

You need to see your doctor about these, you probably need testing for iron deficiency anaemia.

Vit D - the range of <10 tells you that you have Vit D Deficiency.

All of these are severe deficiencies and need to be treated by your doctor. They're too severe for you to treat yourself.

So you need to see a different doctor as that one can't read and is not to be trusted. You can read the results and see for yourself that your numbers are blow the bottom of the range - you don't need a medical degree for that. If you are in the UK you could complain to the practice manager that he is incompetent.

Take a look at the results. You can see yourself that they are below range. If the range says, to take one example from your results sheet,

Ferritin: 7.89 - range for adult female 10-120

then it's very obvious that the result is below range. So your doctor is stupid. You have two choices where that's concerned - go back and challenge this doctor and point out the below range results, or get yourself a new doctor who can actually read test results accurately.

What is your GP doing about these terrible results?

You might well be prefect but your blood results are not. Perhaps he was drunk at the time.

Not what you're looking for?
