This is the latest e-article to arrive in my inbox from Izabella Wentz. I did this diet about 6 months ago, it was very difficult to stick to it, but it was very necessary. I caved in and just did it. It proved to me that all Hashi sufferers need to bite the bullet and Just Do It. Otherwise it's guess work.
I highly recommend logging into Izabella's website - she is passionate about helping Hashi folk to heal and happily sends out Free articles by email regularly.

What is the right diet to heal Hashimoto’s?
The Root Cause Paleo Diet has helped a lot of people feel much better, and some have even been able to eliminate thyroid antibodies by following this diet.
The traditional Root Cause Paleo Diet eliminates grains and processed foods, and focuses on nutrient dense foods like meats, vegetables, nuts, seeds, eggs and depending on who you ask, dairy.
Unfortunately, not everyone gets better on the the Root Cause Paleo Diet... In some cases, we need to dig deeper. People may have additional sensitivities that contribute to the immune system dysfunction. People with Hashimoto's are especially sensitive to a multitude of foods, especially gluten, dairy, soy and eggs.
One diet that I would like to highlight is the Root Cause Autoimmune Diet. This diet goes beyond Root Cause Paleo Diet, and consists of the following guidelines:
Foods Included
•Most organic vegetables
•Fermented foods
•Most organic meats
•Low-glycemic organic fruits
•Coconut
•Noodles: Brown shirataki yam noodles
•Herbs and Spices
Foods Avoided
•Gluten
•Dairy
•Eggs
•Soy
•Fungi (mushrooms)
•Alcohol
•Beans and legumes
•Nightshades
•Sugars (including honey and agave)
•Canned foods, processed foods, coffee
•High glycemic index foods
•Grains (including buckwheat and rice)
•Nuts and seeds
The Root Cause Autoimmune Diet has helped many with Hashimoto's and autoimmune conditions get better, but can be quite difficult to implement.
As a pharmacist, I see this daily in people who know what they need to do to get better, but just don't know how to get started.
