Welcome to our forum Lily7 .

You've given no background of your health but I am assuming you have some dysfunction of your thyroid gland?

Loss of periods can be due to hypothyroidism - as well as other conditions.

I will give you a list of clinical symptoms:-

If you have thyroid antibodies in your blood you would have a condition called Hashimoto's but treatment is the same as Hypothyroidism.

If you've not recently had a blood test for your thyroid hormones ask GP to test the following.

TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies.

B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate.

Doctors usually only test TSH and T4 but that's not sufficient but you can get the all of the thyroid ones done privately and they are home pin-prick tests.

Doctors should test all vitamins/minerals.

All blood tests for thyroid hormones has to be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose of levothyroxine and the test and take afterwards.

Always get a print-out of your results for your own records and post if you have a query. The aim is a TSH of 1 or lower with FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of the range.
