Yep B vaccine

Hi all

Due to job and risks involved I’ve got my first round of Hep B vaccines tomorrow.

Has anyone else had this and does it affect your thyroid? I’ve got Hashimoto’s and dont want to make myself worse but I don’t want to get Hep B.

I had Hep B boosters a couple of years ago when I went to Africa. Didn't make me feel ill or anything, just took things easy for the rest of the day wondering if anything would happen....nothing did!

Great thanks for that.... I always worry about putting stuff in my body that may effect my Hashimoto’s but I really don’t want to get Hep B so need it... going to do nothing tomorrow after my jab then

Well we can all react differently to feeling mildly feverish, sleepy and the usual tenderness at the injection site. I think the only time I've reacted was after a Yellow Fever jab (flat out ugh!) and the first round of a rabies jab, woke up after a nap with the most extraordinary muscular back pain that took ages and a lot of chiropractor work to alleviate. Of course it could have been something completely different, I usually know when I've lifted badly in weighlifting and STOP but this was something else completely. Thankfully it settled before my trip.
