I was so glad to discover this site and all the information, from so many great people, I just did not pay attention to the location being the UK. I live in California but am not sure if that affects my being here. I guess that some will let me know if it does.

Welcome to the forum akdion. It matters not where in the world you are. Yes, we are a UK based forum, and you will see lots of UK based info, but everyone is welcome here if they have a thyroid issue
Thanks for making me feel so welcome. I am beginning to see that the UK medical system is more aggressive than ours. In 2003 after being diagnosed with MS I traveled to Europe for 3 months. I stayed in London for 3 weeks and made friends with 2 other women with MS, there from Slovakia to attend an International MS convention. We traveled together for 3 days. They were the President and Secretary of the Slovakian MS Society. From them I learned that the UK is a leader in research on MS. Now I see a the same seems true for thyroid issues.
I see that to post here I need to learn how be less 'worldy'.
