Confused! Do I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis

I was told I do by what is supposedly one of the best endocrinologists in the world, but the reference range seems odd! Seems to me like it’s the reference range often used for thyroglobulin antibodies. Could it be a mistake?

Attached are the reference ranges on medscape and my thyroid peroxidase result

PS: seems like it would only let me post one photo.

Reference ranges I found are here: emedicine.medscape.com/arti...

Your TPO antibodies results at 26.9 is greater than 20. So that is positive for Hashimoto's

All the reference ranges I’m seeing = 35 and my thyroid peroxidase is 27..

My thyroglobulin level is at 12 and I think that is set at 20 no?

Reference ranges are specific to the lab that did your test.

What you find on the Internet is nothing to do with your test or your lab.

Your lab's range states <20, your result confirms Hashimoto's.

If you don't want to accept that then ring the lab for clarification.

Thyroglobulin level here in the UK is usually 115. TPO is often 34 but we have seen 60.

Your lab result clear shows range as less than 20

Different labs can have very different ranges
