I am 45 yrs old. My life is spoiled due heart racing, when i go to sleep in day or night. i am taking eltrocin - 100 mg since seven years. i weight is 86 kg with 165 cm height. recently i detected DM-II. i drinks 2-3 peg (60 ml) daily and unable to quit that. i become timid and cant travel alone due to fear of hart racing and suffocation.

I have replied to your previous post in the same vein.

You should have had your heart tested and a cardiologist should advise if you have a problem.

I don't know what the following means "recently i detected DM-II. i drinks 2-3 peg (60 ml) daily and unable to quit that".

If you've been on Eltroxin for 7 years at 100mcg you may need an increase/decrease in dose but you should have a new blood test.

All blood tests have to be at the very earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between your last dose of Eltroxin and the test and take afterwards. This give us, the patient, the best results as the TSH drops throughout the day and may mean an unnecessary adjustment in our thyroid hormones.

I think you now need a Full Thyroid Function Test, following advice above, ask for TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies (if you've not had antibodies tested).

Get a print-out of your results and post for comments. I will say your TSH should be 1 or below but I know many doctors think somewhere in the range is fine. It isn't if the patient doesn't feel fine.
