I am looking for peoples experiences of having accupuncture to help with Hashimotos? I have been having it once a week for 5 weeks for great results. I tried to space it out to every fortnight - and this week I have felt the worse I have felt with all of the symptoms coming back that I haven't had since way before the accupuncture. I am been exhausted, an exhaustion like I don't have the energy to exist in the moment and haven't been able to go to work. My body temperature has been all over the place, IBS, monthly cycle messed up, skin flare ups.
I am wondering whether anyone else has had any similar experiences?
Acupuncture did help with some of my symptoms although having it only every fortnight or even once a week won't have a huge effect. From what I remember ideally you need 2 or even 3 sessions per week. On top of it, further symptoms were addressed by herbal infusions prepared by my Chinese doctor. Unfortunately, none of those 2 will do anything with regards to your hormones.
Reducing symptoms is what I am aiming for whilst I am trying to address the route cause How long did you have it for and did it work long term or did you go back to how you were before when you stopped? Thanks for your help x
Hi, yes im in 75 t4 and taking all the right vitamins and doing everything I can to get better. I was just wondering whether this blip had anything to do with my accupuncture. I have just changed to a new brand of tablets though so it may also be that x
I have acupuncture every week and did really well for about the first month. Since then, symptoms have started coming back but it could be down to increased stress. I'm also wondering whether things get worse before they get better.
