Assuming you haven't been supplementing iron, high ferritin is a sign of inflammation or infection in the body. Iron is withdrawn from circulation and stored in ferritin to starve bacteria. When the infection or inflammation resolves ferritin will drop.
I think the only way would be blood donation to reduce the amount of iron in your blood.
How high is high ? Lots of info if you use the SEARCH facilty above 😊
There is a big difference in likely causes, interpretation and possible treatment with the following results :
ferritin result = 160 reference range 15 - 150
ferritin result = 1000 reference range 15 - 150
This is why we need to know... "How high is high?" as Marz said above.

Marginally high can be due to Hashimoto's itself
But as Humanbean and Marz say......how high is too high ?
