It could be. Try taking an anti-histamine to see if relieves your condition.

Also if you take an anti-histamine before your next dose of levo, if it eases it tell your doctor to give you a new prescription and ask pharmacist for another make of levothyroxine. It could be the fillers/binders in the one you are taking which has caused it.

Have you only just started taking Levo?

Have you just increased dose?

Have you changed brands?

Have you introduced any new medication or supplements within the last few days?

If no to those questions and you have been taking the same dose of the same brand for a while then I doubt your Levo would suddenly cause that reaction.

It's best to stick to just one brand, even if it means cutting a tablet in half or alternating days to get the required dose.

Many people have had reactions to Teva.

Can you make up the required dose by using only the Mercury tablets - as I said by cutting tablets or alternating the dose (eg 100 one day, 50 the next, to average 75). See if that makes a difference. If it does then you will know Teva is the culprit and you can request Mercury only in future. If it is Teva causing your problem, do a Yellow Card report yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/
