How to take Metaviv and stop levo?

I have been taking 50mcg levo for one year when TSH was 6.8. Now it is 2.8 and I have done a full thyroid panel with medichecks. I want to stop levo and do Metaviv and plan to do monthly thyroid panels with medichecks. I'm also taking Nutri Adrenal Extra and Holy Basil herb. Has anyone else done this changeover with Metaviv, Thyrogold, or NDT and can give me the benefit of their experience? Private message me if more appropriate. Thanks.

50mcg Levothyroxine is equivalent to 3/4 of a grain NDT (48.75mg). ThyroGold 150mg is equivalent to 87.5mcg Levothyroxine. 150mg is the smallest dose.

Metavive don't declare the T4 and T3 hormone content in their tablets so you will have to experiment to see what dose suits you.

So if I'm going to replace levo with a NDT or one of others, do I just stop taking the levo today and start the other one tomorrow? Or do I need to wait a few days till levo is out of my system and start NDT in a few days?

You can swap straight over to 3/4 grain (48.75mg) NDT tomorrow.

You will be overmedicated on 150mg Thyrogold if you are optimally dosed on 50mcg Levothyroxine.

I thought the following may be helpful:-

Let’s say that those customers want to switch from the other product to Thyro-Gold™. To get the same amount of thyroid powder with Thyro-Gold™, customers who take 6 capsules of the other product will take only 2.6 capsules of Thyro-Gold™. Those who take 7 capsules of the other product will take 3 Thyro-Gold™ capsules. And those who take 8 capsules of the other product will take only 3.5 capsules of Thyro-Gold™.

You may wonder about taking half of a capsule of Thyro-Gold™, or a little more or less. One can easily pull open Thyro-Gold™ capsules and then portion out and re-encapsulate the powder however he or she wants. I hope this is helpful to you, and I wish you the best with your use of Thyro-Gold™.
