Hi everyone! here’s my result from today’s lab test. I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism in 2012 and I was on Carbimazole 5mg and Propranolol 10mg. I took these meds for 4 years and stopped when I got pregnant in Sept 2016. I am euthyroid for almost 2 years now and off meds, too. 2 months ago I am feeling my symptoms are back. occasional tremors, palpitations, anxiety and extreme fatigue. thoughts? thank you..
euthyroid with symptoms, off meds: Hi everyone... - Thyroid UK
euthyroid with symptoms, off meds
Your FT3 looks low
Ask GP to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12.
Plus do you have very High TPO and TG antibodies?
Has TSH dropped since last tested?
These symptoms can be hyper, but they could also be hypo. You need to consider if you perhaps have Hashimoto's
Hi SlowDragon,
I’m gonna ask my endocrinologist for my results prior to this. and I have no idea about my TPO and TG antibodies levels. I had my ferritin, B12, and TSH results taken in Sept of 2017.
results are as follows:
Vitamin B12 - 445 pmol/l
ref range: (153 - 655)
Ferritin - 115 ug/l
ref range: (15 - 247)
TSH - 1.15 mU/L
ref range: (0.32 - 5.04)
thank you
No folate or vitamin D tests?
Ferritin looks good
B12 probably OK
You need FT4 and FT3
Just TSH tells little
For example after Thyroidectomy - low TSH but falling FT3 so dose is inadequate

See Box 1. Towards end of article for vitamin involvement
Some possible causes of persistent symptoms in euthyroid patients on L-T4
You will see low vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 listed

Hi SlowDragon,
nope. no folate/vit d tests. I don’t know how to open this one to my endo since I’ve only seen her once and she only calls me whenever my results are out. she’s always in a hurry. I keep telling her about my symptoms but she always brushes me off and keeps telling me I’m fine and that I don’t need meds and there’s probably another reason why I feel crappy. she assured me it’s not because of my thyroid. but symptoms are existing and she really doesn’t listen. I don’t know where I stand now but thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate it.
