Yesterday was unproductive πŸ’©

Yesterday was tough. Brain fog, fatigue overcame me. I pretty much stayed in bed the entire day. My joint pain has been bad lately. Hoping today will be a better day and I'll get up and at em to enjoy a little bit of it. How is everyone doing? 😊

I'm up very late today and feeling shattered and foggy-headed after another bad night. The joint pain is not as bad these days, thankfully. And the sun has been shining, for the last 5 minutes! I've just seen a pair of nuthatches in the garden, and they don't usually come back up to this altitude until Feb or March...

Bad days sometimes feel as if they might last forever, but you will have a better day before too long, What dose of thyroid hormone are you taking?

Hi Hillwoman 😊 thank you for the reply. I'm not familiar with a nuthatch, could you please explain? I'm prescribed 90mg of armour thyroid; however i stopped taking it about two months ago. I just started with a new doctor so I'm waiting to see what they suggest. Today should be a better day, the weather is perfect here in Florida 🌴 about 60F! My husband asked me to run a few errands for him so at least I'll get out for a little bit. Hopefully you'll get some rest soon!

Yikes, why did you stop taking your Armour?! I hope your new doctor gets on the case asap...

I live in a very different climate to you, at the north end of the Pennine chain of hills in northern England. We had deep snow last week, but a rapid thaw yesterday. And here's a nuthatch:

Ah ok, they are so beautiful! I was depressed originally as to why i stopped taking it but now I'm trying to put my health as a priority. I'm only 30 but feel like I'm 80 β˜ΉπŸ’© I get very frustrated with doctors, i feel like a broken record talking to them. Over ten plus years of living with thyroid issues and not one doctor has truly cared enough. I wish to one day feel good enough to go on with day to day life in no pain and a clear mind. 🀞🀞🀞

Absolutely. We all want to feel well, and when we approach doctors for help it's so confusing, and such a blow to self-confidence, when they don't provide the understanding and practical help we have the right to expect from them. Time to put your health first, and start the Armour again. Don't forget your nutritional supplements too, and it would be a good idea to do some tests to check levels of ferritin, B12 and folate in particular. These are so important. We'd normally recommend vit D testing too, but unless you stay indoors all the time, you probably get enough sun where you live to make your own (green with envy :-) ).

Of course, depression can be part of hypothyroidism, and it's easy for treatment and self-care to slip when we're feeling very low. I was also thinking about how joint pain and mobility difficulties in particular can make you feel much older than you really are. Your health can improve, so hold on to that thought. :-)

Hillwoman ~ health wise, ditto ~ sick of fog and bad nights! I have no idea why I have joined this thread, as I don't understand it! ~ I think it was the nuthatches that lured me in ~ how lovely! Sunny in Warwickshire but no nuthatches in my garden that I've seen so far ~ still, lots of others to enjoy :0) x

Lovely references to nuthatches, ladies. Made me smile. The sun came out in Oxfordshire this morning and I tramped across a few fields with the dog running around madly enjoying a bit of β€˜warmth’.This winter is feeling very long....it’s now pelting down and freezing but a taste of Spring was so refreshing. Take care everyone- here’s looking forward to the days getting a bit longer soon.
