What is a good ferritin level? I have new blood results and it’s come back as 83 (15-350)
Whatever the case it Is an improvement it was 43 in September.
Vitamin b WAS 283 and is NOW 639 so that’s something

Ferritin usual advice is 70 - so you are doing well
B12 looks very good too
See SeasideSusie detailed replies on levels
Nice ferritin level Wowserclo. Are you supplementing? Minimum 70 for thyroid hormone to work and half way through range is recommended, but yours is a wide range. I've seen it said that for females 100-130 is good.
For B12 I have read (but not researched so don't have links) that BCSH, UKNEQAS and NICE guidelines recommend:
"In the presence of discordance between test results and strong clinical features of deficiency, treatment should not be delayed to avoid neurological impairment."
And an extract from the book, "Could it be B12?" by Sally M. Pacholok:
"We believe that the 'normal' serum B12 threshold needs to be raised from 200 pg/ml to at least 450 pg/ml because deficiencies begin to appear in the cerebrospinal fluid below 550".
"For brain and nervous system health and prevention of disease in older adults, serum B12 levels should be maintained near or above 1000 pg/ml."
I keep mine at around 1000 ('cos I'm old )
