Hello. If I have bloods done for thyroid which came back abnormal but were done 4 weeks after a dose change do I go ahead and change my dose? Diagnosed hypothyroid in 2005 taking low dose levothyroxine 50mcg. Symptoms are puffy eyes, goitre, feeling cold, coldness to skin, constipation, fatigue. Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Arty_J.
Perhaps you could post the results and ranges? Hard to determine whether results are abnormally high or low without them.
TSH 0.02 (0.2 - 4.2)
Free T4 22.5 (12 - 22)
Taking 175mcg levothyroxine
Arty_J,
I wouldn't reduce dose unless you feel overmedicated. You are mildly biochemically overmedicated to have FT4 over range but it's really not worth worrying about unless, as I said, you feel overmedicated.
Thanks no I still feel hypothyroid, also free T3 3.1 (3.1 - 6.8)
Arty_J,
You definitely don't want to reduce dose else FT3 will drop below range. You are a poor converter and would benefit from some Liothyronine (T3) added to a reduced dose of Levothyroxine to raise FT3. Ask your GP to refer you to an endocrinologist (NHS) if she is unable to prescribe T3 without an endo recommendation.
Have you had the following tested - B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD ?? All need to be OPTIMAL for good conversion from T4 into the active hormone T3 ....
