Hi all. I was diagnosed with graves months back.had my bloods done said my t3 were low so endo told me to stop carbimazole that's 6 weeks ago.had my bloods done last week my go said they were perfect.don't see endo till end December My queries is since I became poorly I lost my taste and smell and its never come back even though I've stopped meds is this anything to do with thyroid problem . thankyou x

Get a copy of your blood test results from your surgery, with the ranges (we are entitled by Law) and post on a new question.

I'd include Graves in the heading as those with Graves will respond as most are hypothyroid.

Did you get the earliest possible appointment for your blood test, fasting.

Hi trophygirl i hope your sense of taste and smell returns soon but dont forget you were poorly with a chest infection a little while ago-maybe linked to that aswell.😊 just a thought.

Hi Rmichelle nice to hear from u hope it OK luv I no youved been struggling to.I don't think its my chest I've had it for a long time now mentioned it to gp month ago didn't seem concerned I'll see what endo says.its awful when you can,t taste especially a gorgeous bit of choc cake.keep warm and as well as you can luv.thanku for thinking of me xxx

Yes palps and trembling have simmered down abit now. I know how you feel it's like that stage you get when you have a cold and you cant taste or smell anything, its annoying but dont be surprised if endo just brushes it under the carpet-i have my endo app next tuesday then when he is out of the way im goin to start abit of dosage titration myself.
