You need to be patient. It can take many months to feel better, and test results can look good before feeling good catches up!

You should be retested 6-8 weeks after starting Levo and also after every dose change, with an increase in dose if necessary. What were your results on diagnosis, and what are your results now?

Welcome to the forum, Wiblewobble.

If you have thyroid results and ranges you can post showing levels since you've been on 100mcg we can tell you whether or not you are optimally dosed. If you have any results for ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate include them too.

If you are optimally dosed on 100mcg symptoms can lag behind good biochemistry for several months.

Agree with 2 other replies above. It takes a while to settle down so hang on in there if you can. Good luck.

Everything works slowly in the Thyroid world-that's how it is but it's still early days. Always get print outs of your results and the ranges which are important as they differ from lab to lab.

If you look on the Thyroid Uk site who run this forum there is loads of useful info which will help you along the way. Shout out if anything you don't understand and help with be at hand I'm sure. It's a huge learning curve but you will get there.

For full evaluation you ideally need TSH, FT4, FT3, TT4, TPO and TG antibodies, plus vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested

How long since last dose increase? Should be retested after 6 weeks

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results

See if you can get full thyroid and vitamin testing from GP. Unlikely to get FT3

Private tests are available

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
