Kittyjump,

If Levothyroxine doesn't suit then adding T3 or switching to T3 may help. You are unlikely to get T3 prescribed without a NHS endo recommendation though.

Do you know if the side effects are better? I've found Levo terrible :-(

KittyJump,

You should try an alternative make of Levothyroxine. Explain the problem to your pharmacist and ask for an alternative make. There is Wockhardt 25mcg and Teva 25mcg. I'd ask to try Wockhardt 25mcg which has fewer fillers than Mercury Pharma and Teva. Actavis don't make 25mcg.

You had different experiences with different kinds? I have a box of Teva but I'm too scared to try it, heard a lot of bad stuff about it, then I heard Wockhardt had product recall issues :-(

KittyJump,

Mercury Pharma didn't suit. I was fine on Actavis and currently on Wockhardt. I've not heard of a Wockhardt produce recall and I've been taking Wockhardt for over a year.

I've not tried Teva. Different people find different meds suit. You won't know whether Teva is any good until you try it.

Ok cool can I ask how you felt on Mercury? Do I you get any side effects on Wockhardt?

KittyJump,

I was experiencing palpitations and ectopic beats which were much worse on Mercury Pharma than on Actavis. I don't have any adverse effects on Wockhardt.

Ok that's interesting, is that increased heart rate?

KittyJump,

Palpitations is more a consciousness of feeling your heartbeat but I did also have a rapid heartbeat and sensation of thumping heart beat and then missed beats.
