Any ideas, I take 100mg levothyroine 6 in the morning, I eat breakfast and have a coffee around 8-9, approx 10- to mid evening off and on have dizziness, and come over very hot. Doc says it’s vertigo and nothing to to with the medication, my levels are ok, think it was 2.3, so today I had bfast at 8 and took my medication at 10, by 11 dizzy spells started. Thoughts please ?? X x

What is 2.3? Your TSH? If so, you are under-medicated, and it's likely that which is causing the dizziness.

But, it could be due to so many things - dizziness is a common symptom and not one doctors are well up on - nor care about, in my experience!

Firstly, you could make sure your nutrients are all optimal. Ask your doctor to test your vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin. But, don't take his word for the results! Doctors know nothing about nutrients. Get a print-out of your results and post them on here, with the ranges, to get advice supplementing. :)

On you first post two months ago you were advised to get vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested, as well as thyroid antibodies

Have you had these done?

If antibodies are high this is Hashimoto's, (also known as autoimmune thyroid disease). About 90% of hypothyroidism in UK is due to Hashimoto's.

Hashimoto's very often affects the gut, leading to low stomach acid, low vitamin levels and leaky gut.

Dizziness can be low B12. Most GP's are unaware how Hashimoto's impacts on gut function or the importance of good vitamin levels for correct use of thyroid replacement hormones

If you can't get full thyroid and vitamin testing from GP

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH
