Have not been exercising for ages as not optimally medicated yet. When I am, will I be able to exercise as before or will I still get a post-exercise slump?

Exercise
I don't know the technical answer but I'm able to exercise as normal since everything's in a good range.
That's promising - I feel fat and sluggish not exercising and it causes me back problems and muscle pain - exercising cause me muscle pain and exhaustion - feeling a bit trapped and glad I may be able to do it again when optimally medicated.
I started off with slow swimming and relaxation afterwards. Gradually increasing. Swimming shouldn't strain your back.
It's more not exercising causes my muscles to tense pulling on my back and the loss of my core strength. Too embarrassed for swimming at the moment - I look horrendous.
Hi Mini mum , I started off building my walking and then started Pilates which was sore to start with but really helped my back as that's why I started gentle Pilates .
Hi - I take t3+t4 and an at an optimal level. I find that when I exercise I usually need to take a little bit more t3 to cover the extra consumption by the body. If I don't, then it can take a couple of days to recover. Before I was optimal I found that even a brisk walk could leave me feeling ' out of fuel' before the end. I'm still learning the balance and how to handle level of exertion vs t3 dose, but I really notice when I don't take enough.
Good luck

I had to start back slowly it took quite a few months but I am 71 years old so it takes longer.
I am not optimally medicated, but I've started doing very gentle Pilates and walking. I use a Fitbit to make sure I walk the same number of steps each day, and also to monitor how well I am. I do 3,000 steps each day, whereas a healthy person can easily do 10,000.
The Pilates I do is all lying down. I started out with about 1 minute routine, and I did that for almost a year without being able to increase the amount. But at some point as I increased my NDT I got to a point where I started adding extra exercises to me routine every month or so, when I knew I was comfortable. I focus on stretching my lower back, and my upper back and shoulders, and a little bit of core strength.
