Pleurisy

Hi there ,

Please could someone tell me how long it takes to feel well from pleurisy - I am so exhausted weak and pains all over . I have been like this since last wed and meant to go back to work this wed . I'm also low in Folate though taking tabs a week now .

Basically, it takes as long as it takes. I had pleurisy and pneumonia at the same time last year. The pain of the pleurisy eased after a week, the after effects, of probably the pneumonia in my case, meant I was unwell for weeks.

If you don't feel well enough to return to work then ask your GP for a sick note (or whatever they are called these days)

Thanks so much for your reply I really appreciate it . I am meant to be going to England on Friday though my breathing is all over the place so tired no energy . So sorry to hear you had it too though pneumonia is far worse that's awful . I could lose my job as I have had a lot of sick days but feel awful .
