Explaining Pain Improvement

I was injured in a car crash ten years ago and was left with pelvic instability and a bad hip. I have suffered from severe and chronic piriformis syndrome, ITband pain and various other musculoskeletal pains on one side ever since, with the pain seeming to move around on almost a daily basis and never going away, despite a lot of physical therapy for it. More recently I developed debilitating problems with both achilles tendons that stopped me from even wanting to walk around:(.

Two months ago I began treatment for both the hormonal deficiencies as well as the achilles problems, and today I no longer have the kind of muscle spasms I have suffered with for almost a decade!! The piriformis pain that I lived with for close to a decade seems to be gone!

Was it from fixing the hormonal issues or from improved biomechanics from sorting out the achilles I wonder? Maybe a combination of both? I'm very curious!

At any rate, I'm still very happy to be rid of the pain, and in a way hope that it came from treating my hormonal deficiencies instead of from expensive treatment that I will need to keep repeating on my ankles or anywhere else in my body that seems to want to go on strike. I have spent more money on this old junker with little to show for it until now!

greenmug,

I am so sorry to hear your awful story on previous post and it is great that you have now found pain relief.

Optimal T3 levels alleviated the shoulder pain I had experienced since childhood, even having two lots of hydrocortisone injected into the joints. T3 also stopped my dizziness and effervescent like bubbles in my head, rid me of brain fog, healed dry itchy skin, grew my hair thick & long, allowed weight loss, gave energy and my life back.

I now medicate NDT and consider T3 the miracle worker in my world. May your recovery continue.

That's wonderful! I'm happy that you had such a positive result with T3 and thanks for weighing in on this topic.

It almost seems too good to be true. I'm paranoid that it will somehow stop! It's great to hear that you call it a miracle- if this keeps up I'll call it my miracle too:).

Really pleased you're pain free!

I too suffer from it band pain, had two ops to release. Other back pain, kissing spine etc...

Correcting my hormone imbalances has helped massively and also stopping nightshades. Potato, tomato, aubergine...

If I eat potato the next day the pain in my hips when I walk can be excruciating.

I too think the NDT has helped 😀

Thank you:) Me too!

Sorry to hear of your ITband and back troubles - sounds like you have had more than your fair share!!

It's encouraging to read how much things improved when you fixed the imbalances - all I have to do now is sort out my diet. Although that being said, I had a massive amount of wheat yesterday and am not feeling the usual aches and pains that I normally do. Can't say that I am not feeling anxious and depressed, but at least the physical problems aren't bad. Can it be that I have found the way? God I hope so!

Hello there, so glad you are feeling better, I was wondering how you sorted out the hormonal issues. x

Hi Emily, it was from taking nutritional supplements for thyroid and my adrenal glands. I think that having those deficits for many years was causing muscle spasms, joint and tendon problems. I don't know how else to explain their absence after so many years!

I wonder if you mind letting me know the suppliments for thyroid and adrenal you are taking, so that I could give them a try, there are so many out there that I don't know where to start!! Thank you. x
