DippyDame it would be helpful if you could be specific ie what info are you looking for? What do you mean by 'not checked by the NHS' ?

Second attempt...first didn't send!
Thank you...I was gently 'dipping my toes in the water' hence lack of detail! Diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 20+years ago, followed by FMS a few years later. I have been prescribed Levothyroxine since diagnosis...currently 125micrograms. Recent tests return normal. Symptoms that led to FMS diagnosis include fatigue, general aches and pains, IBS....the usual spectrum of FMS symptoms. Having read about T3 conversion and curious to find out if this might be a factor I asked my GP, some time ago, about possible tests...turned out these are not available in my area. My GP is very good and recently agreed to have a Vit D test done...turns out I was extremely deficient and that is now being treated. I also take a magnesium supplement. I've also had B12 levels checked...normal, though I still take a supplement. Doubts about whether some of my symptoms may be down to thyroid issues as well as FMS led me to keep digging over the years. Info on-line suggests there may be indeed a cross over but without a test I was 'stuck' so recently decided to check out the possibility of private tests and discovered this is possible via Medichecks. Is this a service you would recommend and if so which of their range of T3 tests might be advised?
I'm 71 and may sound, therefore, as if my expectations are high but I am very positive and aim to improve my quality of life as much as possible -currently improvement is badly needed! This is due mainly to bouts of severe fatigue and general aches and pains. I realise that while age may not be on my side this issue re T3 has been 'bugging' me for years and I have always felt that something needs to be 'unlocked'
Any advice you can offer would be most welcome...so pleased to find this site.
Meantime, many thanks for your time.
Hi - welcome to the forum. If you could give use some info about your thyroid history and any test results that you may have, then we can give better advice about your situation.
