Hi it can take up to 1yr before you become hypo or it can happen quite quickly, it's different for everyone. I would talk to doctor about pain in glands as I don't remember having any pain after I had my Rai

Thanks I will talk to him I have to get blood drawn before the appointment I posted what he wants.

It sometimes doesn't work with one dose so eventually you may need another but as Raventhorpe said it can take a long time so as long as you feel fine don't worry about it.

Bloods should be done about 4-6 weeks after RAI but results will change for some while as the treatment carries on working.

I didn't have pain anywhere after RAI. The only thing I noticed was a metallic taste for a couple of days. Blood tests were taken every 4 weeks.
