Is there substitute for Leptin or just supplements?

I was wondering is there medication that is identical to Leptin or there are just tons of different supplements that claim that they can add to its production? If anyone uses any of that would love to hear your experience? Thanks.

Thanks. That's why I started to wonder about this question. Many people that have thyroid resistance also have insulin resistance and leptin resistance. Unfortunately with some people diet is not helping with insulin and leptin resistance.

I agree that dieting doesn't help everyone to lose weight and this misconception is making peoples lives a misery. Dieting when leptin resistant can cause more harm than good and actually make people more leptin resistant making more chance of obesity..

Exactly! So many people are struggling to lose weight, but in fact dieting in some makes it even worse if they are leptin resistant. That's why I am searching for answer how can we can get more leptin, like when you are thyroid resistant you have to take more T3 in order to get some into your cells, I suppose same should be with leptin, if we are resistant we need it more than our body naturally produces.

I would be interested in the answer to this too AstridB as I have struggled so much to lose weight and have had so many snide remarks from "so called" health professionals I now have anxiety related to when I have appointments. I had physio today and got in a right state of panic because every time I have had doctors or clinic appointment in the past Ive ended up crying because of what has been said about my weight. I needn't have worried today because the physiotherapist was lovely but its a sorry state when an appointment gets me to this position. They never believe I eat healthily and can't see past my weight to treat my symptoms. GP surgery has now referred me to weight watchers which I start this week. I am dreading it. Ive done all the weight loss programmes before and Im bigger than ever so I am proof DIETS DONT WORK. This problem is definitely hormone related. xx

As there is no answer I assume nobody here tried this, or at least they don't see my post :)

Hi Hidden, there is leptin supplement called Leptiburn produced by BioTrust.com. They are a reputable company, not cheap but I am just starting a course of them, willing to try anything! 😏

As the original poster is no longer a member, there is little reason to respond to her/him.

If anyone wishes to start a new leptin thread, that would be fine, but am closing this to replies.
