Tablets before blood test

Hi all can you tell me please the reason for not taking thyroid meds before the blood test. many thanks

It can skew the blood test results and might cause your hormones to be reduced unnecessarily. That's why we also recommended as early as possible test as TSH is higher then and drops throughout the day.

Thank you for your help I have been having early tests and not taking meds I'll carry on the same way thank you

Because it gives a false reading, blood tests only reveal whats in the bloodstream not whether it is working.
