Radio Iodine Treatment

Has anybody had Radio Iodine Therapy? I am due to have this done on Friday 11/11. Just wondering if there were any immediate side effects within the first 48 hours after taking the tablet. Thanks

I felt quite tired but otherwise no side effects at all.

I had no immediate adverse effects. Dry mouth is a typical side effect so take boiled sweets and drinks with you.

i had no side effects either - didn't notice any difference.

Didn't have any side effects at all though mine was a drink not tablets.

No immediate effects for me. Took approximately three months before I was diagnosed as being under active. This took place more than twenty years ago, and luckily I have been generally fine on levothyroxine. Good Luck!
