It is the nicotine that causes change in the endocrine system.

I read it raises ACTH, the pituitary gland hormone that encourages secretion of cortisol (HPA- Axis). It also increases secretion of the adrenal androgens (sex hormones).

Smoking impairs good thyroid function by competing with iodide and inhibiting iodine uptake by the thyroid but effects are numerous and far reaching.

So yes, vaping usually raises your cortisol levels.
