I'm new here but would like to know if anyone has trouble with swollen tongue and dry mouth and lips and also feel as if my throat is closing

I have had my thyroid removed because of multi nodules 6 years ago

I take Levo 88 mg

Hi, Before I was diagnosed I was always biting my tongue. I am now on 100mg Levothyroxine and 75mg T3. I still feel really thirsty and dry mouthed.

Moses73 hi, yes i do have terrible dry mouth , lips, ...i wake up in the night so dry and yes, i suffer too with my throat.. the doc says its prob not my thyroid lol... what do they know? i have nodules and am on 150mcg of levo, ... sometimes i choke when i am eating or drinking too fast... is embarrassing sometimes... i feel someone squeezing my throat at times.. .someone has a voodoo doll of me i think! ; )....i am new here too... well, .. i WAS!!! i am settling in well here... hope you do too x

Thank you martine l feel the same way l actually loose my breath and l can choke with water

My doc told me it is a side effect of the levo

Moses73 i dont know about you, but i am gonna try every thing i can to get off the levo, on to either ndt or t3 only... i told my doc straight, its killing me... i am 44 and struggling to even climb stairs.. told him i was glad it was free as i certainly wouldnt PAY for that sh"t.... i sometimes feel like i am breathing and swallowing at the same time... its so embarrassing.

Sounds as if your dose isn't enough for you - it's certainly a very small dose. Do you have copies of your blood test results? If not, ask for them - it's your legal right to have them under the Data Protection Act. Post them on here, with the ranges, and people will be able to advise.
