Anyone else suffering with the heat as I am? Seems to be making my symptoms worse :(

Well, being hypo, I am rejoicing because today I took off my fleece and just wore a shirt and long-sleeved T-shirt (indoors). I might even try taking the shirt off! Still in bedsocks though.

Seriously, I don't know what you can do apart from a hand held fan and plenty of fluids.

Have a bigger fan than that. Had it pointed on me all day but still in socks though. Feet always cold due to reynauds. I have a hot water bottle on them most nights lol

I'm hypo, too. I also, like you, always seem to wear my bed socks, no matter the weather. People think it's crazy wearing socks to bed, but nope, I wear them nonetheless.

I've always considered this as being normal, but perhaps it's been a symptom without me realising- haha!

Thank you Jefner and SophieFloey.

I'm so glad you said this.

Now I can show my husband that I'm not so weird because I'm having drenching sweats all day and then insisting on taking a hot water bottle to bed at night because my feet are always freezing.

Mind you he thinks I'm weird for other reasons too!

Heat really affecting me too since having a TT I can t seem to regulate my body temperature.this hot weather makes me feel really ill.

I have a fan going all the time and drinking plenty etc but still feel awful

But as other members say the doctors say your bloods are normal so you must be ok !! Makes me feel really fed up .

Hold your wrists under cold running water for instant cool down. Try Waitrose's hint of Sicilian Lemon in you drinking water it's so refreshing, added bonus it helps with digestion. x

I have a temperature sweet spot between 18-20c, beneath and beyond which I'm in misery - like now. In this tremendous heat I lag myself with ice packs, sit by the fan and have lots of cold drinks. However in bed at night I still need the double duvets...it's weird. I recommend Magnums hourly:-)

I dont like it hot, and it is HOT here today. Not helped by chasing sheep round a field this morning to get them to a shadier one - they would not go through the gate! I came back and just turned the hose on me - cold soaking wet T shirt (nothing to look at here, move along!), jeans dripping into my wellies - bliss!

I too am hypothyroid, but my greatest bugbear is that I cannot get my feet to cool down. I hate hot feet more than I do cold and in this weather, even if I were to soak them in iced water (which I have done!) I cannot get them to cool down. They're like my barometer... if my feet are cold, I'm cold and reaching for the fleeces, but when they are hot, I'm hot and nothing will cool me down... :-(

i too am heat & cold intolerant. can't stand the cold weather and now its too stuffy, makes it difficult to sleep at night. i also don't sweat much at all, this not a good thing, sweating helps with elimination and cooling down, i don't seem to hear this much from other hypos.

Like Rainbow100 I am also heat and cold intolerant and don't sweat much at all. Last 2 nights it has been unbearably hot and I couldn't sleep. Last night in desperation I filled a hot water bottle with COLD water.....and yippeeeee I actually got some sleep. ☺

I am sleeping in the lounge tonight on my recliner chair as it's cooler downstairs and I am gonna leave the back door open all night. If I get murdered in the night, so be it....someone needs to put me out of my misery lol. 8pm and it's still 29 outside
