Sanity check please. Endo told me that he judged I didn't have TED as he looked across the table at my eyes during our consultation. We didn't talk about TED at all. Is it me or does anyone else find this a bit odd? Would you expect to have a discussion about your eyes before anyone could assert you didn't have TED?

Thyroid eye disease .... is it me?
I was diagnosed the opposite way, my GP said I had TED just by looking at me, I then had a blood test to confirm it and later an MRI when I had a flare up.
What is TED?

Thyroid Eye Disease
My Endo used to always check for lid lag which is an early sign of TED. He'd hold a finger in front of my face and ask me to move my eyes.
Hi it took a while for me to be diagnosed with TED in fact it wasn't until I woke up one morning eyes streaming and could barely see that I went back to the doctors and this time got a locum from New Zealand - for the win! who only had to look at me to know what the problem was - didn't say much for the British docs did it who said repeatedly I was borderline thyroid. Perhaps you should consider changing your doctor in the hope of someone with a bit more sense, always keep up and at them I would say, nothing wrong with making a nuisance of yourself where your health us concerned and with useless docs often the only way. Also keep insisting on regular blood tests - Always get a copy of blood tests - a lot of excellent people on here willing to give you advice better than any doctors. Good luck stick with it.
Thanks all.
