a few days ago. Now my ankles and fingers are swelling up. Is this a symptom of taking levo?

Just started on 50mg of levo:
I would say it often occurs with being hypothyroid and I don't know if Levo would also be a cause unless it has changed other factors like sodium levels. It's probably temporary until your body adjusts to the extra hormone.
SS,
It shouldn't be but who knows ? ? . We suffer many varied and unusual symptoms when suffering with low thyroid hormone.
I agree with Heloise that it is probably your body readjusting to new hormone but if it were to continue, I would consider an allergic reaction to a filler within the tablet.
Give it time.
Hi susie, I'm in the U.S. as well. It's almost as bad as the UK from my experience when it comes to thyroid treatment. I've looked at your past posts and see it is your experience as well. So you have had an increase to 50 but you need to keep increasing as your TSH will have to become much lower. I wish you could have tried Armour or Naturethroid. I had to fight for that as well but NDT's have more thyroid componants.
Your ferritin being over range is often said to be due to inflammation. You may have an infection somewhere. Did you take sublingual B12? You should try methylcobalamin. It works together with folate (not folic acid which is synthetic and may not work for you). I hate to point out another problem that seems to have cropped up since you mentioned some reactions you have after taking vitamin D. This has been new to me. fearlessparent.org/suppleme...
