I have Hypo thyriod. My neck is noisy, cracking, grinding, gravel noises due to spurs on every vertebrae causing the sounds as I move. When they catch and crack the noise can be quite loud. I feel something rotate inside the body. I am taking medicine for thyroid. But I dont have relief. Give suggestions.

Welcome to the forum, Maryruban.

If you post your recent thyroid results and ranges (the figures in brackets after results) members will advise whether you are optimally medicated.

I don't think there is any connection between bone spurs and hypothyroidism.

Just out of curiosity, ellismay, do the bone spurs just go away by themselves when optimally medicated for thyroid? Or does it involve surgery? I don't have them myself, but I know someone who does.

ellismay,

Unfortunately you have responded to the original poster, not to greygoose

If you click on the black text Reply at the end of the thread, your response dose not thread properly. You need to click on the [ Reply ] button at the bottom of the response (white text on green background at present, for me).
