Hi
I was just after help with my results. They are from a year ago (forgot to go in summer as a lot of other things have been going on but I am booked to go back).

Hi
I was just after help with my results. They are from a year ago (forgot to go in summer as a lot of other things have been going on but I am booked to go back).
How do they look?
Looks good. How did you feel? How do you feel now?
I take it there was no FT4 test?
I'm finding my symptoms are getting worse (tired, cold, hair loss, can't stop eating, struggling/ no motivation to lose weight, irritable etc)
Thyroid removed in 1999
Why was your thyroid removed? If you Don't mind me asking. If it was for cancer, then your TSH should be suppressed.
Apart from that, the TSH test is only of any use if the result is high, once you are on thyroid hormone replacement. You should be having at least your FT4 tested - plus FT3 would be ideal.
It sounds as if your FT3 is low - that is what causes symptoms. If your doctor refuses to test it, maybe you could have a private test - it really is the most important reading. You're taking 175 mcg Levo, but it could be that you're not converting it to T3. But you'll never know unless you get them both tested.
Thyroid was removed as alternative to radioactive treatment. Had bulging eye and huge goitre (spelling?) in my throat.
Been to Drs today and had blood test done with T3 and T4 too so will see what the results come back as.
Thanks
