My endocronologist ordered a random cortisol blood test for me and in a letter says but my reading was 124 - but for some reason there's not any units. Does anyone know what this means? I've been ringing to try and find out but I'm having trouble getting through. It was a PM test and they've asked me to go back in to do an AM test.

Assuming it was an NHS test, the level at 9am should be over 400 but goes down over the course of the day, so it will depend on what time the test was taken. Best to ask the Endo if it was low for the time of day. If so you may need a short synacthen test to rule out Addison's disease. Presumably it was low hence the repeat test.
