So I've been the doctor for my results today he said my thyroid has improved, he then asked if I felt better in myself I said no I feel the same as before he said I should be feeling better within 3-5months of been on my tablets. I told him my periods still haven't returned and I've only had 1 in a full year, he said he's now referring me to a gynecological! I'm so worried I thought this no period thing was down to my thyroid being under active.

Did you ask for a copy of your results?
Telling you that you "should" feel better when you don't, is really unhelpful. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.
Clearly you are still not well. Make sure you have had your TSH, FT4, FT3 (if they will do it), iron, folate, ferritin, Vit D and Vit b12 levels measured.
Make sure you always ask for print-outs of the test results, with ranges.
If you have period problems as well, it is possible that you have secondary hypothyroidism - ie your pituitary isn't sending the right messages. If this is the case, you might well have adrenal issues and sex hormone issues as well.
Consider sending for the adrenal saliva cortisol test. Your GP can't order this for you. You can get it from GenovaUK via the ThyroidUk website here thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
