I have been very sick couldn't finger out why so I went to the doctor to find out and she did blood work and said I have go thyroid doctor now I have to have it taking out cause it getting worse can't breath good put oxgyen and can't swollow food when eating not getting anuff sleep so they going take my thyroid cause of I nodgols

Hi Karen, I hate to hear of anyone being rushed into surgery. How long has this been going on? There are treatments for Graves if that's what you have. Can you insist on trying them first. It is not easy getting on without your thyroid gland as many here can tell you. If it is due to selenium deficiency or iodine deficiency you can try to supplement. I had Graves' disease some 7years ago now and had medication which settled it.....Thankfully I have been well since and didn't need to head down the surgical path though,not before causing a few other unwanted issues.It sounds as though yours is really causing you some big problems Karen and I hope you are feeling better soon.

karen..i have had those symptoms for most of the last 8 years and i will not have my thyroid removed. Instead you can stop this thru a med caused Carb, something and a beta blocker to slow the heart and then do Functional Medicine to get rid of the graves, it just takes time.
