Thank you this was very interesting. I have asked my son to get his doctor to test his thyroid.

Get a Full Thyroid Function Test, i.e. TSH, T3, T4, Free T4, Free T3, -vitamin B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate too.

Get a print-out of results with the ranges.

Hi, are you in the states? There's not much on add as opposed to adhd over here in the uk because the diagnosis isn't given here. Mistake, i think.

No I am in England and had to go Private for my Son to get his diagnosis

There was a discussion within the last few days on one of the health groups I belong to and some of the adults mentioned that a mushroom used for centuries in Chinese medicine called 'Lion's Mane' was helpful with their ADD, especially with being able to focus etc. I don't know if it is available in the UK. Maybe thru Chinese practitioners?

I would look for a US ADD forum. How is his serum ferritin?

I don't know as I am finding it difficult to get him to go the Doctors at the moment as he is going through a down period.
